Planning a wedding is an enormous task. It becomes a time-consuming job and it is always on your mind. You are trying to juggle work, have time for your personal life with family and friends, and have some down time on top of all of the wedding planning.
So often after the wedding you will hear a bride say, “The wedding was one big blur.” In order to enjoy your day to the fullest, plan on hiring a wedding planner. I know you might say your budget doesn’t have any more room to add one more expense to your wedding day. I don’t know a better way to say it except that hiring a wedding planner will be the best gift you can give yourself and your family.
By hiring a wedding planner, you have someone else in charge. That doesn’t mean you loose control of your wedding plans at all. The wedding planner is just helping you carry out your wishes and desires so your day is just wanted you had planned. My hiring a planner you can now focus on you and your groom on the day of your wedding. Many wedding planners/consultants offer what most call a “day of wedding service”. With this service or even having a wedding planner from the very beginning of your engagement, leaves you to enjoy your wedding weekend without the headaches. You might be saying at this point, I just can’t afford it and I will just have my mom or my best friend take care of all of the details on wedding day.
Trust me: your best friend wants to be your best friend and enjoy the fun not work on your wedding day. Let your mom enjoy being mom and have the special mother/daughter moments she has always dreamed of. That does not include coordinating all of your wedding day details. Your mom does not need to be running around checking on all of the last minute details, resolving any problems and ending up exhausted before your day even starts. Let your mom help you dress, ride with you to the church and have some alone time with you before you walk down the aisle. They will be moments you both remember for the rest of your life.
Once you have hired your wedding planner, trust them. Listen to them and their words of advice. Your planner’s sound advice is worth so much. Communicate with your planner and keep her informed on your vendor choices and any changes made during your wedding planning process.
Remember, hiring a wedding planner should not be considered an extra cost in your budget but a must! Wondering you to hire? Check out the list of wedding planners on the local directory of Dallas Wedding Planner.
